About me
I am a user experience researcher currently working on improving the user experience of developer tools and understanding the needs of our customers to create new tools and functionality. However, I’m looking to expand my user research experience into new areas like consumer products, physical products, gaming, medical, or other fields that allow me to grow with a brand new set of passionate customers and difficult problems.
My super power is planning and conducting lean research within tight timelines and constrained resources to empower the team to learn from and empathize with customers, and inspire action.

March 2019 - Present
I started at GitHub as the sole user researcher dedicated to various high priority projects and advising product members and designers who are conducting other research. Now, I’m one of a small team of researchers looking to better understand our customer base, their usage of GitHub, and how our product and engineering teams can be more customer obsessed.
Pre Microsoft acquisition, conducted a survey and focus groups to learn about top customer pain points and prepare the new CEO for taking on the new product and determining priorities for his first 100 days. I conducted weekly research sessions to iteratively test designs starting from low fidelity to working prototypes over the course of 2 months to ship the new version of GitHub Actions. I lead research efforts for the beta of GitHub Package Registry, diving into customer problems before moving forward with a solution and evaluating new features with customers. I also conducted focus groups to identify customer apprehension or concerns with the GitHub Arctic Code Vault, which saved the team time and stress addressing those concerns before launch. Lead research for a product acquisition and integration into GitHub.
